Spring festival is here, it has been a really interesting 2020 for the world. This Lunar New Year is the year of Ox (牛), it starts from 12 February and lasts for 15 days. 2021 is also the year of the metal (golden) Ox. The most famous people who were born in the year of the metal Ox are Barrack Obama and George Clooney, which happens to be a 60 years cycle.
In Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal because of its role in agriculture. Its positive characteristics, such as being hardworking and honest, are attributed to it. Their typical traits based on common beliefs are that Oxen are honest and earnest. They never look for praise or try to be the center of attention. Their talent is recognized through their hard work and honest character. Oxen are kind, rarely losing their temper, they think logically and make great leaders. Hmmm.. sounds quite correct to me.
